See Heather O’Neill at Westfest Lit 2008
For the fifth year in row, Westboro Village will be closing its streets to traffic for Westfest 2008 — one of Ottawa’s premiere summer festivals and a celebration of music, art and life.
And as always, it’s free!
This year I curated Westfest Lit and I’m thrilled to announce this year’s line-up featuring readings by:
- Heather O’Neill, author of the Canada Reads award-winning Lullabies for Little Criminals;
- storyteller and ReLit winner Ivan E. Coyote;
- playwright-turned-novelist Claudia Dey; and
- critically acclaimed Ottawa writers Paul Glennon and Jennifer Whiteford.
Founding Westfest Lit host CBC-TV’s Lucy van Oldenbarneveld will be introducing the writers.
Join us on Saturday June 14, 2008 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 pm. at the Domicile Main Stage located at Richmond and Golden streets. If you want to purchase a book, Collected Works will be on site to sell works by the authors and the authors will hang around after the readings to sign your book copies.
You can also visit us on Facebook.
